MY KID BOUGHT A PIG!

Well actually it's called a "Bush Pig" A motorized vehicle that you ride like a skateboard.

He's still trying to figure out how to ride it but he does it well enough already to scare his mother.

I've been looking all over for his helmet. I mean seriously, this kid has had so many concussions that I'm sure another one would turn him into a vegetable.

It's really meant for off-road
riding or rough terrain.

I'm too old for this!

CALEB! FIND YOUR HELMET!!!!

JUST HANGIN'

My dear friend Mimi Sue asked me what I was up to so I thought I would blog about it.

My daughter Liz wanted to craft and make something for her front door and I came up with this idea.

Just a door hanger.

Hangin' on my door...

with some curly wire, little
shamrocks and a little bling..

some ribbon and pretty paper,
decoupaged onto masonite
and cut out with my saw.

PAY IT FORWARD

ARE YOU GAME?

The first three people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!Who's in?

DO YOU NEED LUCK?

Well today is you lucky day!

I've been playing around and came up with these
"LUCK LETTERS"

Who doesn't need a little "Luck" in their home.

Each letter is about 9" high and 6" wide.

They come with individual stands for each letter but if you bought my
"LOVE LETTERS"
they fit the same stands.

The U is covered in gold glitter.

There's a cute top hat on the C.

A pot of gold stands on the K.

They are $25.00 if you would like to buy one.
Thanks Janis

YOU NAME IT

And Grams will try and make it.

My little Tyson loves camouflage and hunting things. His Dad is a big time hunter and what little boy doesn't want to be just like his Daddy.

They built a new house last year and every day he asks his Mom if they can go get the paint for his room.

I bought him some camo wallpaper border a few weeks ago and he wants his room done now!

I used some of the wallpaper on the frame so it will match when we get it up.

He is only three but when I showed it to him, he knew it was his name and his eyes lit up and he was sooo excited.

He's really going to become relentless about painting his room now.

Do you need a name done? I would love to make you one.

I'VE BEEN SPOILED

My dear sweet husband sent me my favorite flowers for Valentines day.
Daises and red roses.

Aren't they beautiful?

I can't quit looking at them.

I even cleaned off the table so I could display them properly.
Thank you dear.

IS THIS OVERDONE ENOUGH?

Remember my old adage "It's not done until it's overdone"?

Well I think I've certainly lived up to it this time. My sweet Aubrey (second grade) called me last night and asked me to make her a valentines box. Well the wheels started turning and this is what I came up with...

A super blingy Valentine purse box!

The flap lifts up so she can
put her Valentines in it.

I put her name on the front and
"LOVE" on the sides.

Then a cupid on the back
and lots of sparkly hearts.

I think she likes it. She wouldn't put it down the whole time I was visiting.

VALENTINES AND VISITING TEACHING GIFTS

In the LDS Church Relief Society, we have the blessing of being able to visit fellow sisters each month to give a short lesson and fellowship them.

I made a few little Valentine cards for my Sisters

They are just layered scallops and flowers .

Then I used a little brad so the top swings away and I wrote a little note on the bottom scallop.

I'm going to make some cookies and stack them in a little bag and put these on top.

Bekah wanted something a little different and when I am given a challenge, I am way excited.

I came up with these little photo holders. Just a piece of 2x4 painted black with a piece of paper decoupaged onto it and some vinyl lettering.

Then I took some wire and bent it to make some little picture holders. drilled some little holes in the top of the block and put them in.

Stick a Valentine in one of them and there you go! Easy Peasy.

SCORE!!!!! & A FIELD TRIP

Don't you just love FRIENDS!!!!!

Both old and new... they can lighten your spirit and make your day. I have had the bestest last two days ever.

On Thursday I went on a "field trip" to an old salvage yard in Salt Lake with my dear friend Sue F and a new friend "MIMI SUE" check out her blog because she has more pics of our adventure and a ton of cute stuff.

This place was awesome! Of course we have to take pictures.

So much stuff and such a small car. Good thing I didn't bring a truck or who knows what we might have brought home.

I have a fetish for old doorknobs and things.

But the score of the day was this!

An old ironing board cupboard.

I've been wanting one of these forever and since I am trying to clean up my sewing room, I have just the place for it. (Yipeee, Happy Dance!)

Then of course there are presents! When we go through our daily lives and see something cute and either make or buy it, we don't just do one for ourselves but have to do one for friends as well.

Both Sues gave me presents.

Mimi Sue made me the
cutest pincushion ever.

She even posted the instructions here
I love it! Thank you Mimi.

Then Sue F made me some way cute clips for my picture board. She even used some of her most precious buttons. Now that is true friendship! Thank you Sue.

Then yesterday, my dear friend Vickie and I went out for a birthday celebration. Our Birthdays are both in January but because of busy schedules couldn't get together until yesterday. We went out for lunch and went shopping for some supplies "Vinyl" in Salt Lake City, and then went to a movie.

This is what she got me.

I love, love, love it!
Thank you Vickie.

And this is what I made her.

I swear it's been like Christmas all over again.
